Introducing The SBYW x PUMA Innovation Footwear Design Competition

We are very excited to announce The SBYW x PUMA Innovation Footwear Design Competition, an opportunity inviting aspiring designers to showcase their creativity and skill while competing for a coveted internship within the PUMA Innovation Footwear Design Team. The winner will receive the invaluable opportunity to work alongside Puma’s most innovative minds, where they will receive hands-on experience in developing performance footwear for its global consumers. They will also have the chance to build a network of connections within the industry.

The Brief

Deliverables

  • Design a PUMA performance shoe for an event of your choice in the 2024 Olympics.

  • A Short explanation of the shoe design, no more than a page long.

  • A Mood board to show where your design and ideas stemmed from.

  • *Should spend no more than 10 hours on this project*

Terms

  • Eligibility: The competition is open to individuals who possess basic footwear design knowledge and skills with an interest in performance footwear.

  • *Must be enrolled as a student until at least September 2024*

  • Design must be original and not copied or plagiarised. Not 100% AI-generated.

  • Entries are limited to 2 per person.

  • Applications must be sent to a specific email (sbywxpumainnovation@gmail.com).

  • All entries must be submitted on or before the submission deadline (October 31st 2023).

Prize

  • A 6-month paid internship at PUMA HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany. Within the Innovation Footwear Design team (Start Date negotiable around Spring 2024).

  • Solo Feature Interview on Sneakers by Women.
